A cozy night in

November 2, 2010

Grill boy is out galavanting on the town, aka playing in a Corn Hole Tournament at Game On  leaving poor Baker Girl to her own devices for dinner. I was pretty tuckered out when I got home, so I didn’t go too crazy with dinner, just a simple pasta with pesto. I threw in some peas for veggies as well.

We had some leftover bread, so I made up some cheesy garlic bread (just bread, butter, garlic, a bit of salt and provolone, cooked in the toaster oven for 10 min.

And voila dinner in 30 min or less. Helps when you have ready made pesto!

But the reason I am actually writing a post is to tell you about this amazing do-it-yourself home trick that Grill Boy discovered last night. Our disposal has been broken for a few weeks now, it just makes a whirring sound, but no disposing of table scraps.

So alas for the last few weeks this mean our sink was periodically clogged until you stuck a hand down the disposal (grossness central) and pick out the festering food goop. Hardcore gross. But after some googling he discovered that there is this tool that comes with disposals! Its basically a warped Allen wrench:

But you put it in the bottom of the disposal grind it back and forth and it clears out the disposal! Magic! Who knew?

A brief post, not very exciting but I wanted to share this fun little household tip!
