What to do with bananas that look like these?

Right so recipe first

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Adapted from Williams-Sonoma Cookbook Banana Nut Bread

6 Tablespoons Butter
1 Cup Sugar
2-3 very ripe bananas, coarsely mashed
3 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk, or regular milk with 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips

In a curious turn of events Grill Boy was recently caught baking and Baker Girl actually put together a marinade for Chicken Curry.  In case you were wondering Hell has frozen over in New England.  That might actually be due to the fact that Boston is currently measuring snow in the % of Shaq’s height.  Now Grill Boy baking is actually not as smooth as and clean as when Baker Girl bakes hence the flour in his hair.

Now with that all said, Boston is about to get sacked again with even more snow. Grill Boy has had the wonderful fortune of having multiple snow days and has not worked a five day week since before the holidays, and he admits it has been AWESOME! Though much sympathy must be given to Baker Girl because sadly she has not enjoyed the plethora of days off that Grill Boy has.  On one such day Grill Boy was in the kitchen and noticed that there was a collection of rotting banana’s and thought that they were perfect candidates for bread.  This is also a fantastic opportunity to share a wonder revolutation that Grill Boy recently has had – opening banana’s like the way monkeys do.

Step #1 – Scratch your arm pits.

Step#2 –  Find a banana

Step #3 –  Look at the stem and DO NOT OPEN from that end

Step # 4 – Look at the other end, pinch it BOOM you have an open banana.

Step #5- Hang from a branch from your tail…oh no tail?

Check out this guy for a more visual example or check out this gorilla.

With all talk about bananas and monkey’s aside the bread was delicious.

However, apparently you actually want to know HOW to make it delicious and this is how it happens.

1. Mix sugar and eggs (Grill Boy ran out of white sugar and used a cup of brown ….it worked well)

2. Mash Bananas – Take note of the double masher!

3. Mix sugar/egg mixture and bananas

4. Dry Mix – stir (Grill Boy decided to use the other end of the already used spatula, because why waste a spoon)

5. Mix it all together

6. Add Chocolate Chips

7. Pour into pan

8. Put in the oven at 350 degrees F 40- 60 minutes (Grill Boy was shocked how long bread takes to cook!)

9. mmm golden and delicious

That is all that needs to be said, it was tasty now go home find some rotting fruit, hone in your inner primate mash them up and toss some flour around eat some delicious bread.
